#Fehlingsolution: The blue solution formed by mixing aqueous solution of CuSO₄ and alkaline sodium potassium tartrate (NaKC₄H₄O₆) of equal volume is called Fehling solution.
CuSO₄ + NaOH➡Na₂SO₄ + Cu (OH) Cu (OH) ₂ + NaKC₄H₄O₆➡Cu₂ (C₄H₄O₆) .Cu (OH) ₂ + NaOH + KOH Fehling solutions can also oxidize aldehydes but not ketones. HCHO + Cu (OH) Na + NaOH➡Cu₂O⬇ + HCOONa + H₂O
